The word "Communication" emerged from latin Latin word " Communicatio"(noun), Communicatre (verb), meaning to share.
This means sharing or exchange or information through speaking, writing, or using other medium.
Communication has five major elements:
1. The speaker (sender)
2. The speech (message)
3. The audience (receiver)
4. The occasion (context)
5. The conveyor (the medium)
6 The effect (consequences)
A hotel user ( speaker or sender) picked up his mobile phone (medium) called at 6pm to make an enquiry about "the available room to lodge". (Speech or Message). The hotel customer care staff (audience or receiver) responded and informed the customer about zero availability of a room at the time (the occasion, context or time). The customer dropped the call in a sad mood (effect) as there was no hope for an alternative budget-size guest inn at the time
