Mobile phone marketers in Nigeria know when it's had to get.  It's entirely obvious that mobile phones are costly given the US dollar exchange rate in the country Nigeria at time of writing this blog post. But they changed the music by offering "Easy buy". Get the phone, pay on installment from your had earned money. Consumers are loyal to this strategy because hard economic time is sincerely hard.

A budget phone works.  But it works slowly. I bought a budget phone for my private office use. It works but slower than the more expensive ones. That means spending more or paying premium helps us get better products or services. It pays (even better) to pay more!

If an entity is labeled before someone caughts a sight of it, he quickly believes the frame especially if the features match the usual schema of the entity. Korean version of iphone were think by consumers in the global south market to be genuine, even though they were not the Apple-made. All prices of products displayed online especially Amazon were think to be true. Because consumers never have enough time to haggle further....

After the collapse of Soviet Communism in 1989, triumphalist voices were loud proclaiming the "end of history"....that all political ideologies have converged, making the western liberal democracy and free-market capitalism the final form of human government and economic life.  But at the wake of this third decade of the 21st century, we are witnessing a sudden change, as new political ideologies crafted by Asian Oligarchs springing up to compete with the western liberalism and domination... However, we are still watching carefully as more of these events unfold and play out.

If you want to make a great product or serve people the best way, you must be a student of culture, because culture dominates everything we do as human.  You must pay attention to: What people want. What people buy Why they buy  How they buy How they use How they dispose what they have used. Also probe into what they hate too. Participate to observe how they live, what they value, with whom or what they spend their time, and what drive them most. For example,  a Goal Score in a football match gets consumers rejoicing. So a picture, action or words of a bad leader move them to insult the president.

We live in society that all of us never want the same thing. However, what are factors that influence our wants? In this post, let's unpack few of them speaking as we are walking: 1. Dreams : Everyday we dream of getting something done or reaching a certain goal. Those dreams lead us searching or seeking some objects (wants) to achieve or realize them.  A dream of getting marry by December 2025 could have led someone to engage a bank or insurance that offers " About to wed " products. 2. Urgency : urgency creates tension and want. If Kettle is boiling, you won't fold your hands. Urgency creates desperate want. A man in coma creates want for Oxygen. The  Taliban takeover  created want for moving Afghans. 3. Status Roles : Every status possess some roles and expectations. A new student resuming in a campus must want books, tablets or mini Laptop, change in wears and others. A pregnant woman or a soon-to-be-mum wants baby care products. Local farmers in Africa want hoes

 Believing that God doesn't exist never change God. It's about your mind. Paying tithe is biblical. And it works for some believers who value paying tithe, who believe that God will bless them in return.  But those that never believe in paying tithes still get wealth or blessings too. Some don't pray even and still get riches. If you live in patience, in humility and play like a sheep, you might become a timid prey, and your wolves could devour you. And that won't change God. When you are killed by your enemies, God remains God.  Whether you believe God exists or not, it doesn't change anything. Your mind is too worthy to be used in believing a wrong thing. Use it judiciously 

Many times you have been branded a stupid man, a flaky being and so on.  The reason stems from biases in the minds of others around you. They cannot see the good side of you because of the bad stories their minds had chosen to tell them, the internal narratives they had chosen to believe. Some say you won't amount to anything either. Others believe your actions are not right. Jettison all of that. Prove them wrong by going after a great work (of your dream). Allow your dream to lead you. Then come out with an outcome that will surely amaze the critic. Outcome that will defeat their expectations of you. Let them know that their opinion (of you) never count! Prove them wrong!

One reason that made Michael Jackson's albums were so phenomenally successful is because he perfected the strategy of using absence to build anticipation. He would stay out of the public eye for years. No interviews, no tours, no sightings. Then when the anticipation has reached fever pitch, boom, he releases an album! When you notice that people start taking you for granted and disrespecting you, it is likely because you have made yourself too present for them. Napoleon Bonaparte said, "If I am often seen at the theatre, people will cease to notice me". Use absence more than you use presence. Long time no see is better than 'Oh, it's you again'. Be conscious of where you go. People treat friends and family like they treat money. The more they see money, the less they value it. The less they see moolah, the more they value it! 

Learn to respect what someone has chosen to believe.  If his belief is not a problem to either us or himself. Let him be  No man uses your mouth and mind to worship his God. No man uses your mouth to eat frogs, crabs, earthworms and lizards. Allow the christian to read his bible. Give the Muslim a space to pray and worship in his mosque. Leave him (or them) to believe what he had chosen. If there is no epidemic outbreak, war, chaos or crime as an outcome. Let him be

It's so amazing that some white men hate the black race yet they love their black cats, black dogs and black horses Some have extended their loves to their snakes, parrots and even black wears.  Why should you love your animals above the black race? Why should you move away from the estates where you notice the black population has started emerging? Think again!

Team work and unity pays. Ants were never trained in Engineering yet they work together to buid skycrappers. When we work in team and in unity we do exploits.

You stole a Blackberry smartphone sometimes ago. Now it's out of value. You killed someone to get his 504 Peugeot Car. Where is the car today? Why did you feel like eliminating another man because he stepped to chase a woman you love but yet to marry. Drop your gun and think deep before you move  to shoot in that mall. If you could have thought before taking some actions, I believe some of your actions were not worth it. Life on earth is too short to be wasted on a useless thing  No need to fight the man who wish you death, or someone who rejoice at your misfortune. Thank you!
